1. Who we are

The Jerusalem Bridge (lashon.online) is a personalized Hebrew, Biblical Hebrew, Yiddish, and Aramaic learning platform. It is operated by Yaacov Schlezinger. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

2. Data we collect

We collect:

  • Account data: name, email, password (hashed). We use these to create and secure your account.
  • Lesson data: vocabulary, transcripts, homework, and progress from your lessons with your teacher.
  • Learning activity: flashcard reviews, quiz results, reading progress, and practice sessions — to personalize your experience and track progress.
  • Device data: when you use the Android app, we may receive standard device information (e.g., OS version) necessary for the app to function. We do not track you across other apps or sites.

3. How we use your data

We use your data to:

  • Provide the learning platform (flashcards, quizzes, conversations, homework).
  • Personalize content based on your lessons and progress.
  • Send emails you expect (e.g., lesson-ready notifications, account-related messages).
  • Improve the platform and fix issues.

4. Third-party services

We use Supabase (database and auth), Resend (transactional email), and optional text-to-speech providers. These providers process data on our behalf under their respective privacy policies. We do not sell your data to third parties.

5. Data retention

We retain your account and lesson data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Contact us at the email below to make such requests.
