Ezekiel 25

vayehi devar-Adonai elay lemor

The word of GOD came to me:

ben-adam sim panekha el-bene ammon vehinnave alehem

O mortal, set your face toward the Ammonites and prophesy against them.

ve'amarta livne ammon shimu devar-adonay Elohim koh-amar adonay Elohim ya'an omrekh he'akh el-miqdashi khi-nikhal ve'el-admat yisra'el ki nashammah ve'el-bet yehudah ki halekhu baggolah

Say to the Ammonites: Hear the word of the Sovereign GOD! Thus said the Sovereign GOD: Because you cried “Aha!” over My Sanctuary when it was desecrated, and over the land of Israel when it was laid waste, and over the House of Judah when it went into exile—

lakhen hinni notenakh livne-qedem lemorashah veyishevu tirotehem bakh venatenu vakh mishkenehem hemmah yokhelu firyekh vehemmah yishtu khalavekh

assuredly, I will deliver you to the Kedemites as a possession. They shall set up their encampments among you and pitch their dwellings in your midst; they shall eat your produce and they shall drink your milk.

venatatti et-rabbah linveh gemallim ve'et-bene ammon lemirbats-tson vidatem ki-ani Adonai

I will make Rabbah a pasture for camels and Ammon a place for sheep to lie down. And you shall know that I am GOD.

ki khoh amar adonay Elohim ya'an makhakha yad veraqakha beragel vattismakh bekhol-shatekha benefesh el-admat yisra'el

For thus said the Sovereign GOD: Because you clapped your hands and stamped your feet and rejoiced over the land of Israel with such utter scorn—

lakhen hinni natiti et-yadi alekha unetattikha (lvg) [levaz] laggoyim vehikhrattikha min-ha'ammim veha'avadtikha min-ha'aratsot ashmidekha veyadata ki-ani Adonai

assuredly, I will stretch out My hand against you and give you as booty to the nations; I will cut you off from among the peoples and wipe you out from among the countries and destroy you. And you shall know that I am GOD.

koh amar adonay Elohim ya'an amor mo'av vese'ir hinneh kekhol-haggoyim bet yehudah

Thus said the Sovereign GOD: Because Moab and Seir said, “See, the House of Judah is like all other nations”—

lakhen hinni foteakh et-ketef mo'av mehe'arim me'arayw miqqatsehu tsevi erets bet hayeshimot ba'al me'on (vqrytmh) [veqiryatayemah]

assuredly, I will lay bare the flank of Moab, all its towns to the last one—Beth-jeshimoth, Baal-meon, and Kiriathaim, the glory of the country.

livne-qedem al-bene ammon unetattiha lemorashah lema'an lo-tizzakher bene-ammon baggoyim

I will deliver it, together with Ammon, to the Kedemites as their possession. Thus Ammon shall not be remembered among the nations,

uvemo'av e'eseh shefatim veyade'u ki-ani Adonai

and I will mete out punishments to Moab. And they shall know that I am GOD.

koh amar adonay Elohim ya'an asot edom binqom naqam levet yehudah vayyeshemu ashom veniqqemu vahem

Thus said the Sovereign GOD: Because Edom acted vengefully against the House of Judah and incurred guilt by wreaking revenge upon it—

lakhen koh amar adonay Elohim venatiti yadi al-edom vehikhratti mimmennah adam uvehemah unetattiha khorbah mitteman udedaneh bakherev yippolu

assuredly, thus said the Sovereign GOD: I will stretch out My hand against Edom and cut off from it human and animal, and I will lay it in ruins; from Tema to Dedan they shall fall by the sword.

venatatti et-niqmati be'edom beyad ammi yisra'el ve'asu ve'edom ke'appi vekhakhamati veyade'u et-niqmati ne'um adonay Elohim

I will wreak My vengeance on Edom through My people Israel, and they shall take action against Edom in accordance with My blazing anger; and they shall know My vengeance—declares the Sovereign GOD.

koh amar adonay Elohim ya'an asot pelishtim binqamah vayyinnaqemu naqam bishat benefesh lemashkhit evat olam

Thus said the Sovereign GOD: Because the Philistines, in their ancient hatred, acted vengefully, and with utter scorn sought revenge and destruction—

lakhen koh amar adonay Elohim hinni noteh yadi al-pelishtim vehikhratti et-keretim veha'avadti et-she'erit khof hayyam

assuredly, thus said the Sovereign GOD: I will stretch out My hand against the Philistines and cut off the Cherethites and wipe out the last survivors of the seacoast.

ve'asiti vam neqamot gedolot betokhekhot khemah veyade'u ki-ani Adonai betitti et-niqmati bam

I will wreak frightful vengeance upon them by furious punishment; and when I inflict My vengeance upon them, they shall know that I am GOD.
