Adonai elohay attah aromimkha odeh shimkha ki asita pele etsot merakhoq emunah omen

O ETERNAL One, You are my God; I will extol You, I will praise Your name. For You planned graciousness of old, Counsels of steadfast faithfulness.

ki samta me'ir laggal qiryah vetsurah lemappelah armon zarim me'ir le'olam lo yibbaneh

For You have turned a city into a stone heap, A walled town into a ruin, The citadel of strangers into rubble, Never to be rebuilt.

al-ken yekhabbedukha am-az qiryat goyim aritsim yira'ukha

Therefore a fierce people must honor You, A city of cruel nations must fear You.

ki-hayita ma'oz laddal ma'oz la'evyon batsar-lo makhseh mizzerem tsel mekhorev ki ruakh aritsim kezerem qir

For You have been a refuge for the pauper, A shelter for the needy person in distress— Shelter from rainstorm, shade from heat. When the fury of tyrants was like a winter rainstorm,

kekhorev betsayon she'on zarim takhnia khorev betsel av zemir aritsim ya'aneh

The rage of strangers like heat in the desert, You subdued the heat with the shade of clouds, The singing of the tyrants was vanquished.

ve'asah Adonai tseva'ot lekhol-ha'ammim bahar hazzeh mishteh shemanim mishteh shemarim shemanim memukhayim shemarim mezuqqaqim

GOD of Hosts will make on this mount For all the peoples A banquet of rich viands, A banquet of choice wines— Of rich viands seasoned with marrow, Of choice wines well refined.

uvilla bahar hazzeh pene-hallot hallot al-kol-ha'ammim vehammassekhah hannesukhah al-kol-haggoyim

And on this mount will be destroyed the shroud That is drawn over the faces of all the peoples, And the covering that is spread Over all the nations:

billa hammavet lanetsakh umakhah adonay Elohim dimah me'al kol-panim vekherpat ammo yasir me'al kol-ha'arets ki Adonai dibber

Death will be destroyed forever. My Sovereign GOD will wipe the tears away From all faces And will put an end to the reproach of God’s people Over all the earth— For it is GOD who has spoken.

ve'amar bayyom hahu hinneh elohenu zeh qivvinu lo veyoshi'enu zeh Adonai qivvinu lo nagilah venismekhah bishu'ato

In that day they shall say: This is our God; We trusted in the One who delivered us. This is GOD, in whom we trusted; Let us rejoice and exult in God’s deliverance!

ki-tanuakh yad-Adonai bahar hazzeh venadosh mo'av takhtayw kehiddush matben (vmy) [bemo] madmenah

For GOD’s hand shall descend Upon this mount, And Moab shall be trampled underfoot As straw is threshed to bits at Madmenah.

uferas yadayw beqirbo ka'asher yefares hassokheh liskhot vehishpil ga'avato im orbot yadayw

Then [God’s] hands will be spread out in their homeland, As a swimmer’s hands are spread out to swim, And their pride will be humbled Along with the emblems of their power.

umivtsar misgav khomotekha heshakh hishpil higgia la'arets ad-afar

Yea, the secure fortification of their walls Will be laid low and humble— Will be razed to the ground, to the very dust.
