Psalms 141

mizmor ledavid Adonai qeratikha khushah li ha'azinah qoli beqori-lakh

A psalm of David. I call You, O ETERNAL One, hasten to me; give ear to my cry when I call You.

tikkon tefillati qetoret lefanekha masat kappay minkhat-arev

Take my prayer as an offering of incense, my upraised hands as an evening sacrifice.

shitah Adonai shomrah lefi nitserah al-dal sefatay

O ETERNAL One, set a guard over my mouth, a watch at the door of my lips;

al-tat-libbi ledavar ra lehitolel alilot beresha et-ishim po'ale-aven uval-elkham bemanammehem

let my mind not turn to an evil thing, to practice deeds of wickedness with those evildoers; let me not feast on their dainties.

yehelmeni-tsaddiq khesed veyokhikheni shemen rosh al-yani roshi ki-od utefillati bera'otehem

Let someone righteous strike me in loyalty and reprove me; let my head not refuse such choice oil. My prayers are still against their evil deeds.

nishmetu vide-sela shofetehem veshame'u amaray ki na'emu

May their judges slip on the rock, but let my words be heard, for they are sweet.

kemo foleakh uvoqea ba'arets nifzeru atsamenu lefi she'ol

As when the earth is cleft and broken up our bones are scattered at the mouth of Sheol.

ki elekha Adonai adonay enay bekhah khasiti al-te'ar nafshi

My eyes are fixed upon You, O GOD my Sovereign; I seek refuge in You, do not put me in jeopardy.

shomreni mide fakh yaqeshu li umoqeshot po'ale aven

Keep me from the trap laid for me, and from the snares of evildoers.

yippelu vemakhmorayw resha'im yakhad anokhi ad-e'evor

Let the wicked fall into their nets while I alone come through.
