הַֽלְלוּ־יָ֡הּ הַֽלְלִ֥י נַ֝פְשִׁ֗י אֶת־יְהֹוָֽה׃
halelu-yah haleli nafshi et-Adonai
Hallelujah. Praise GOD, O my soul!
אֲהַלְלָ֣ה יְהֹוָ֣ה בְּחַיָּ֑י אֲזַמְּרָ֖ה לֵאלֹהַ֣י בְּעוֹדִֽי׃
ahalelah Adonai bekhayyay azammerah lelohay be'odi
I will praise GOD all my life, sing hymns to my God while I exist.
אַל־תִּבְטְח֥וּ בִנְדִיבִ֑ים בְּבֶן־אָדָ֓ם ׀ שֶׁ֤אֵ֖ין ל֥וֹ תְשׁוּעָֽה׃
al-tivtekhu vindivim beven-adam she'en lo teshu'ah
Put not your trust in the great, in mortals who cannot save.
תֵּצֵ֣א ר֭וּחוֹ יָשֻׁ֣ב לְאַדְמָת֑וֹ בַּיּ֥וֹם הַ֝ה֗וּא אָבְד֥וּ עֶשְׁתֹּנֹתָֽיו׃
tetse rukho yashuv le'admato bayyom hahu avedu eshtonotayw
Their breath departs; they return to the dust; on that day their plans come to nothing.
אַשְׁרֵ֗י שֶׁ֤אֵ֣ל יַעֲקֹ֣ב בְּעֶזְר֑וֹ שִׂ֝בְר֗וֹ עַל־יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהָֽיו׃
ashre she'el ya'aqov be'ezro sivro al-Adonai elohayw
Happy are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the ETERNAL their God,
עֹשֶׂ֤ה ׀ שָׁ֘מַ֤יִם וָאָ֗רֶץ אֶת־הַיָּ֥ם וְאֶת־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁר־בָּ֑ם הַשֹּׁמֵ֖ר אֱמֶ֣ת לְעוֹלָֽם׃
oseh shamayim va'arets et-hayyam ve'et-kol-asher-bam hashomer emet le'olam
maker of heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them; who keeps faith forever;
עֹשֶׂ֤ה מִשְׁפָּ֨ט ׀ לָעֲשׁוּקִ֗ים נֹתֵ֣ן לֶ֭חֶם לָרְעֵבִ֑ים יְ֝הֹוָ֗ה מַתִּ֥יר אֲסוּרִֽים׃
oseh mishpat la'ashuqim noten lekhem lare'evim Adonai mattir asurim
who secures justice for those who are wronged, gives food to the hungry. GOD sets prisoners free;
יְהֹוָ֤ה ׀ פֹּ֘קֵ֤חַ עִוְרִ֗ים יְ֭הֹוָה זֹקֵ֣ף כְּפוּפִ֑ים יְ֝הֹוָ֗ה אֹהֵ֥ב צַדִּיקִֽים׃
Adonai poqeakh ivrim Adonai zoqef kefufim Adonai ohev tsaddiqim
GOD restores sight to the blind; GOD makes those who are bent stand straight; GOD loves the righteous;
יְהֹוָ֤ה ׀ שֹׁ֘מֵ֤ר אֶת־גֵּרִ֗ים יָת֣וֹם וְאַלְמָנָ֣ה יְעוֹדֵ֑ד וְדֶ֖רֶךְ רְשָׁעִ֣ים יְעַוֵּֽת׃
Adonai shomer et-gerim yatom ve'almanah ye'oded vederekh resha'im ye'avvet
GOD watches over the stranger and gives courage to the orphan and widow, but makes the path of the wicked tortuous.
יִמְלֹ֤ךְ יְהֹוָ֨ה ׀ לְעוֹלָ֗ם אֱלֹהַ֣יִךְ צִ֭יּוֹן לְדֹ֥ר וָדֹ֗ר הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּ׃ {פ}
yimlokh Adonai le'olam elohayikh tsiyyon ledor vador halelu-yah
GOD shall reign forever, your God, O Zion, for all generations. Hallelujah.
