Psalms 57

lamnatseakh al-tashkhet ledavid mikhtam bevorkho mippene-sha'ul bamme'arah

For the leader; al tashḥeth. Of David. A michtam; when he fled from Saul into a cave.

khonneni elohim khonneni ki vekha khasayah nafshi uvetsel-kenafekha ekhseh ad ya'avor havvot

Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy on me, for I seek refuge in You, I seek refuge in the shadow of Your wings, until danger passes.

eqra lelohim elyon la'el gomer alay

I call to God Most High, to God who is good to me,

yishlakh mishamayim veyoshi'eni kheref sho'afi selah yishlakh elohim khasdo va'amitto

who will reach down from heaven and deliver me— sending down steadfast love; my persecutor reviles. Selah.

nafshi betokh leva'im eshkevah lohatim bene-adam shinnehem khanit vekhitsim uleshonam kherev khaddah

As for me, I lie down among lions who devour humans— whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongue is a sharp sword.

rumah al-hashamayim elohim al kol-ha'arets kevodekha

Exalt Yourself over the heavens, O God, let Your glory be over all the earth!

reshet hekhinu lifamay kafaf nafshi karu lefanay shikhah nafelu vetokhah selah

They prepared a net for my feet to ensnare me; they dug a pit for me, but they fell into it. Selah.

nakhon libbi elohim nakhon libbi ashirah va'azammerah

My heart is firm, O God; my heart is firm; I will sing, I will chant a hymn.

urah khevodi urah hannevel vekhinnor a'irah shakhar

Awake, O my soul! Awake, O harp and lyre! I will wake the dawn.

odekha va'ammim adonay azammerkha balummim

I will praise You among the peoples, O my Sovereign; I will sing a hymn to You among the nations—

ki-gadol ad-shamayim khasdekha ve'ad-shekhaqim amittekha

for Your faithfulness is as high as heaven; Your steadfastness reaches to the sky.

rumah al-shamayim elohim al kol-ha'arets kevodekha
