נֹ֥חַ שֵׁ֖ם חָ֥ם וָיָֽפֶת׃ {ס}
noakh shem kham vayafet
Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
בְּנֵ֣י יֶ֔פֶת גֹּ֣מֶר וּמָג֔וֹג וּמָדַ֖י וְיָוָ֣ן וְתֻבָ֑ל וּמֶ֖שֶׁךְ וְתִירָֽס׃ {ס}
bene yefet gomer umagog umaday veyavan vetuval umeshekh vetiras
The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.
וּבְנֵ֖י גֹּ֑מֶר אַשְׁכְּנַ֥ז וְדִיפַ֖ת וְתוֹגַרְמָֽה׃ {ס}
uvene gomer ashkenaz vedifat vetogarmah
The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Diphath, and Togarmah.
וּבְנֵ֥י יָוָ֖ן אֱלִישָׁ֣ה וְתַרְשִׁ֑ישָׁה כִּתִּ֖ים וְרוֹדָנִֽים׃ {ס}
uvene yavan elishah vetarshishah kittim verodanim
The sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Rodanim.
בְּנֵ֖י חָ֑ם כּ֥וּשׁ וּמִצְרַ֖יִם פּ֥וּט וּכְנָֽעַן׃
bene kham kush umitsrayim put ukhena'an
The sons of Ham: Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.
וּבְנֵ֣י כ֔וּשׁ סְבָא֙ וַֽחֲוִילָ֔ה וְסַבְתָּ֥א וְרַעְמָ֖א וְסַבְתְּכָ֑א וּבְנֵ֥י רַעְמָ֖א שְׁבָ֥א וּדְדָֽן׃ {ס}
uvene khush seva vakhavilah vesavta verama vesavtekha uvene rama sheva udedan
The sons of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabta, Raama, and Sabteca. The sons of Raama: Sheba and Dedan.
וְכ֖וּשׁ יָלַ֣ד אֶת־נִמְר֑וֹד ה֣וּא הֵחֵ֔ל לִֽהְי֥וֹת גִּבּ֖וֹר בָּאָֽרֶץ׃ {ס}
vekhush yalad et-nimrod hu hekhel lihyot gibbor ba'arets
Cush begot Nimrod; he was the first mighty one on earth.
וּמִצְרַ֡יִם יָלַ֞ד אֶת־[לוּדִ֧ים] (לודיים) וְאֶת־עֲנָמִ֛ים וְאֶת־לְהָבִ֖ים וְאֶת־נַפְתֻּחִֽים׃
umitsrayim yalad et-[ludim] (lvdyym) ve'et-anamim ve'et-lehavim ve'et-naftukhim
Mizraim begot the Ludim, the Anamim, the Lehabim, the Naphtuhim,
וְֽאֶת־פַּתְרֻסִ֞ים וְאֶת־כַּסְלֻחִ֗ים אֲשֶׁ֨ר יָצְא֥וּ מִשָּׁ֛ם פְּלִשְׁתִּ֖ים וְאֶת־כַּפְתֹּרִֽים׃ {ס}
ve'et-patrusim ve'et-kaslukhim asher yatse'u misham pelishtim ve'et-kaftorim
the Pathrusim, the Casluhim (from whom the Philistines came), and the Caphtorim.
וּכְנַ֗עַן יָלַ֛ד אֶת־צִיד֥וֹן בְּכֹר֖וֹ וְאֶת־חֵֽת׃
ukhena'an yalad et-tsidon bekhoro ve'et-khet
Canaan begot Sidon his first-born, and Heth,
וְאֶת־הַיְבוּסִי֙ וְאֶת־הָ֣אֱמֹרִ֔י וְאֵ֖ת הַגִּרְגָּשִֽׁי׃
ve'et-hayevusi ve'et-ha'emori ve'et haggirgashi
and the Jebusites, the Amorites, the Girgashites,
וְאֶת־הַחִוִּ֥י וְאֶת־הַעַרְקִ֖י וְאֶת־הַסִּינִֽי׃
ve'et-hakhivvi ve'et-ha'arqi ve'et-hassini
the Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites,
וְאֶת־הָאַרְוָדִ֥י וְאֶת־הַצְּמָרִ֖י וְאֶת־הַחֲמָתִֽי׃ {ס}
ve'et-ha'arvadi ve'et-hatsemari ve'et-hakhamati
the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites.
בְּנֵ֣י שֵׁ֔ם עֵילָ֣ם וְאַשּׁ֔וּר וְאַרְפַּכְשַׁ֖ד וְל֣וּד וַאֲרָ֑ם וְע֥וּץ וְח֖וּל וְגֶ֥תֶר וָמֶֽשֶׁךְ׃ {ס}
bene shem elam ve'ashur ve'arpakhshad velud va'aram ve'uts vekhul vegeter vameshekh
The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, Aram, Uz, Hul, Gether, and Meshech.
וְאַרְפַּכְשַׁ֖ד יָלַ֣ד אֶת־שָׁ֑לַח וְשֶׁ֖לַח יָלַ֥ד אֶת־עֵֽבֶר׃
ve'arpakhshad yalad et-shalakh veshelakh yalad et-ever
Arpachshad begot Shelah; and Shelah begot Eber.
וּלְעֵ֥בֶר יֻלַּ֖ד שְׁנֵ֣י בָנִ֑ים שֵׁ֣ם הָאֶחָ֞ד פֶּ֗לֶג כִּ֤י בְיָמָיו֙ נִפְלְגָ֣ה הָאָ֔רֶץ וְשֵׁ֥ם אָחִ֖יו יׇקְטָֽן׃
ule'ever yullad shene vanim shem ha'ekhad peleg ki veyamayw niflegah ha'arets veshem akhiv yoqtan
Two sons were born to Eber: the name of the one was Peleg (for in his days the earth was divided), and the name of his brother Joktan.
וְיׇקְטָ֣ן יָלַ֔ד אֶת־אַלְמוֹדָ֖ד וְאֶת־שָׁ֑לֶף וְאֶת־חֲצַרְמָ֖וֶת וְאֶת־יָֽרַח׃
veyoqtan yalad et-almodad ve'et-shalef ve'et-khatsarmavet ve'et-yarakh
Joktan begot Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,
וְאֶת־הֲדוֹרָ֥ם וְאֶת־אוּזָ֖ל וְאֶת־דִּקְלָֽה׃
ve'et-hadoram ve'et-uzal ve'et-diqlah
Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,
וְאֶת־עֵיבָ֥ל וְאֶת־אֲבִֽימָאֵ֖ל וְאֶת־שְׁבָֽא׃
ve'et-eval ve'et-avima'el ve'et-sheva
Ebal, Abimael, Sheba,
וְאֶת־אוֹפִ֥יר וְאֶת־חֲוִילָ֖ה וְאֶת־יוֹבָ֑ב כׇּל־אֵ֖לֶּה בְּנֵ֥י יׇקְטָֽן׃ {ס}
ve'et-ofir ve'et-khavilah ve'et-yovav kol-elleh bene yoqtan
Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab; all these were the sons of Joktan.
שֵׁ֥ם ׀ אַרְפַּכְשַׁ֖ד שָֽׁלַח׃

Shem, Arpachshad, Shelah;
עֵ֥בֶר פֶּ֖לֶג רְעֽוּ׃

Eber, Peleg, Reu;
שְׂר֥וּג נָח֖וֹר תָּֽרַח׃

Serug, Nahor, Terah;
אַבְרָ֖ם ה֥וּא אַבְרָהָֽם׃ {ס}

Abram, that is, Abraham.
בְּנֵי֙ אַבְרָהָ֔ם יִצְחָ֖ק וְיִשְׁמָעֵֽאל׃ {ס}
bene avraham yitskhaq veyishma'el
The sons of Abraham: Isaac and Ishmael.
אֵ֖לֶּה תֹּלְדוֹתָ֑ם בְּכ֤וֹר יִשְׁמָעֵאל֙ נְבָי֔וֹת וְקֵדָ֥ר וְאַדְבְּאֵ֖ל וּמִבְשָֽׂם׃
elleh toledotam bekhor yishma'el nevayot veqedar ve'adbe'el umivsam
This is their line: The first-born of Ishmael, Nebaioth; and Kedar, Abdeel, Mibsam,
מִשְׁמָ֣ע וְדוּמָ֔ה מַשָּׂ֖א חֲדַ֥ד וְתֵימָֽא׃
mishma vedumah massa khadad vetema
Mishma, Dumah, Massa, Hadad, Tema,
יְט֥וּר נָפִ֖ישׁ וָקֵ֑דְמָה אֵ֥לֶּה הֵ֖ם בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׁמָעֵֽאל׃ {ס}
yetur nafish vaqedemah elleh hem bene yishma'el
Jetur, Naphish, and Kedmah. These are the sons of Ishmael.
וּבְנֵ֨י קְטוּרָ֜ה פִּילֶ֣גֶשׁ אַבְרָהָ֗ם יָלְדָ֞ה אֶת־זִמְרָ֧ן וְיׇקְשָׁ֛ן וּמְדָ֥ן וּמִדְיָ֖ן וְיִשְׁבָּ֣ק וְשׁ֑וּחַ וּבְנֵ֥י יׇקְשָׁ֖ן שְׁבָ֥א וּדְדָֽן׃ {ס}
uvene qeturah pilegesh avraham yaledah et-zimran veyoqshan umedan umidyan veyishbaq veshuakh uvene yoqshan sheva udedan
The sons of Keturah, Abraham’s concubine: she bore Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah. The sons of Jokshan: Sheba and Dedan.
וּבְנֵ֣י מִדְיָ֗ן עֵיפָ֤ה וָעֵ֙פֶר֙ וַחֲנ֔וֹךְ וַאֲבִידָ֖ע וְאֶלְדָּעָ֑ה כׇּל־אֵ֖לֶּה בְּנֵ֥י קְטוּרָֽה׃ {ס}
uvene midyan efah va'efer vakhanokh va'avida ve'elda'ah kol-elleh bene qeturah
The sons of Midian: Ephah, Epher, Enoch, Abida, and Eldaah. All these were the descendants of Keturah.
וַיּ֥וֹלֶד אַבְרָהָ֖ם אֶת־יִצְחָ֑ק בְּנֵ֣י יִצְחָ֔ק עֵשָׂ֖ו וְיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ {ס}
vayyoled avraham et-yitskhaq bene yitskhaq esav veyisra'el
Abraham begot Isaac. The sons of Isaac: Esau and Israel.
בְּנֵ֖י עֵשָׂ֑ו אֱלִיפַ֛ז רְעוּאֵ֥ל וִיע֖וּשׁ וְיַעְלָ֥ם וְקֹֽרַח׃ {ס}
bene esav elifaz re'u'el vi'ush veyalam veqorakh
The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Reuel, Jeush, Jalam, and Korah.
בְּנֵ֖י אֱלִיפָ֑ז תֵּימָ֤ן וְאוֹמָר֙ צְפִ֣י וְגַעְתָּ֔ם קְנַ֖ז וְתִמְנָ֥ע וַעֲמָלֵֽק׃ {ס}
bene elifaz teman ve'omar tsefi vegatam qenaz vetimna va'amaleq
The sons of Eliphaz: Teman, Omar, Zephi, Gatam, Kenaz, Timna, and Amalek.
בְּנֵ֖י רְעוּאֵ֑ל נַ֥חַת זֶ֖רַח שַׁמָּ֥ה וּמִזָּֽה׃ {ס}
bene re'u'el nakhat zerakh shammah umizzah
The sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.
וּבְנֵ֣י שֵׂעִ֔יר לוֹטָ֥ן וְשׁוֹבָ֖ל וְצִבְע֣וֹן וַעֲנָ֑ה וְדִישֹׁ֥ן וְאֵ֖צֶר וְדִישָֽׁן׃ {ס}
uvene se'ir lotan veshoval vetsivon va'anah vedishon ve'etser vedishan
The sons of Seir: Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah, Dishon, Ezer, and Dishan.
וּבְנֵ֥י לוֹטָ֖ן חֹרִ֣י וְהוֹמָ֑ם וַאֲח֥וֹת לוֹטָ֖ן תִּמְנָֽע׃ {ס}
uvene lotan khori vehomam va'akhot lotan timna
The sons of Lotan: Hori and Homam; and Lotan’s sister was Timna.
בְּנֵ֣י שׁוֹבָ֔ל עַלְיָ֧ן וּמָנַ֛חַת וְעֵיבָ֖ל שְׁפִ֣י וְאוֹנָ֑ם וּבְנֵ֥י צִבְע֖וֹן אַיָּ֥ה וַעֲנָֽה׃ {ס}
bene shoval alyan umanakhat ve'eval shefi ve'onam uvene tsivon ayyah va'anah
The sons of Shobal: Alian, Manahath, Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. The sons of Zibeon: Aiah and Anah.
בְּנֵ֥י עֲנָ֖ה דִּישׁ֑וֹן וּבְנֵ֣י דִישׁ֔וֹן חַמְרָ֥ן וְאֶשְׁבָּ֖ן וְיִתְרָ֥ן וּכְרָֽן׃
bene anah dishon uvene dishon khamran ve'eshban veyitran ukheran
The sons of Anah: Dishon. The sons of Dishon: Hamran, Eshban, Ithran, and Cheran.
בְּֽנֵי־אֵ֔צֶר בִּלְהָ֥ן וְזַעֲוָ֖ן יַעֲקָ֑ן בְּנֵ֥י דִישׁ֖וֹן ע֥וּץ וַאֲרָֽן׃ {פ}
bene-etser bilhan veza'avan ya'aqan bene dishon uts va'aran
The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, Zaavan, and Jaakan. The sons of Dishan: Uz and Aran.
וְאֵ֣לֶּה הַמְּלָכִ֗ים אֲשֶׁ֤ר מָֽלְכוּ֙ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ אֱד֔וֹם לִפְנֵ֥י מְלׇךְ־מֶ֖לֶךְ לִבְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל בֶּ֚לַע בֶּן־בְּע֔וֹר וְשֵׁ֥ם עִיר֖וֹ דִּנְהָֽבָה׃
ve'elleh hammelakhim asher malekhu be'erets edom lifne melokh-melekh livne yisra'el bela ben-be'or veshem iro dinhavah
These are the kings who reigned in the land of Edom before any king reigned over the Israelites: Bela son of Beor, and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
וַיָּ֖מׇת בָּ֑לַע וַיִּמְלֹ֣ךְ תַּחְתָּ֔יו יוֹבָ֥ב בֶּן־זֶ֖רַח מִבׇּצְרָֽה׃
vayyamot bala vayyimlokh takhtayw yovav ben-zerakh mibbotsrah
When Bela died, Jobab son of Zerah from Bozrah succeeded him as king.
וַיָּ֖מׇת יוֹבָ֑ב וַיִּמְלֹ֣ךְ תַּחְתָּ֔יו חוּשָׁ֖ם מֵאֶ֥רֶץ הַתֵּימָנִֽי׃
vayyamot yovav vayyimlokh takhtayw khusham me'erets hattemani
When Jobab died, Husham of the land of the Temanites succeeded him as king.
וַיָּ֖מׇת חוּשָׁ֑ם וַיִּמְלֹ֨ךְ תַּחְתָּ֜יו הֲדַ֣ד בֶּן־בְּדַ֗ד הַמַּכֶּ֤ה אֶת־מִדְיָן֙ בִּשְׂדֵ֣ה מוֹאָ֔ב וְשֵׁ֥ם עִיר֖וֹ (עיות) [עֲוִֽית]׃
vayyamot khusham vayyimlokh takhtayw hadad ben-bedad hammakkeh et-midyan bisdeh mo'av veshem iro (yvt) [avit]
When Husham died, Hadad son of Bedad, who defeated the Midianites in the country of Moab, succeeded him as king, and the name of his city was Avith.
וַיָּ֖מׇת הֲדָ֑ד וַיִּמְלֹ֣ךְ תַּחְתָּ֔יו שַׂמְלָ֖ה מִמַּשְׂרֵקָֽה׃
vayyamot hadad vayyimlokh takhtayw samlah mimmasreqah
When Hadad died, Samlah of Masrekah succeeded him as king.
וַיָּ֖מׇת שַׂמְלָ֑ה וַיִּמְלֹ֣ךְ תַּחְתָּ֔יו שָׁא֖וּל מֵרְחֹב֥וֹת הַנָּהָֽר׃
vayyamot samlah vayyimlokh takhtayw sha'ul merekhovot hannahar
When Samlah died, Saul of Rehoboth-on-the-River succeeded him as king.
וַיָּ֖מׇת שָׁא֑וּל וַיִּמְלֹ֣ךְ תַּחְתָּ֔יו בַּ֥עַל חָנָ֖ן בֶּן־עַכְבּֽוֹר׃
vayyamot sha'ul vayyimlokh takhtayw ba'al khanan ben-akhbor
When Saul died, Baal-hanan son of Achbor succeeded him as king.
וַיָּ֙מׇת֙ בַּ֣עַל חָנָ֔ן וַיִּמְלֹ֤ךְ תַּחְתָּיו֙ הֲדַ֔ד וְשֵׁ֥ם עִיר֖וֹ פָּ֑עִי וְשֵׁ֨ם אִשְׁתּ֤וֹ מְהֵֽיטַבְאֵל֙ בַּת־מַטְרֵ֔ד בַּ֖ת מֵ֥י זָהָֽב׃
vayyamot ba'al khanan vayyimlokh takhtayw hadad veshem iro pa'i veshem ishto mehetavel bat-matred bat me zahav
When Baal-hanan died, Hadad succeeded him as king; and the name of his city was Pai, and his wife’s name Mehetabel daughter of Matred daughter of Me-zahab.
וַיָּ֖מׇת הֲדָ֑ד {פ} וַיִּֽהְיוּ֙ אַלּוּפֵ֣י אֱד֔וֹם אַלּ֥וּף תִּמְנָ֛ע אַלּ֥וּף (עליה) [עַֽלְוָ֖ה] אַלּ֥וּף יְתֵֽת׃
vayyamot hadad vayyihyu allufe edom alluf timna alluf (lyh) [alvah] alluf yetet
And Hadad died. The clans of Edom were the clans of Timna, Alvah, Jetheth,
אַלּ֧וּף אׇהֳלִיבָמָ֛ה אַלּ֥וּף אֵלָ֖ה אַלּ֥וּף פִּינֹֽן׃
alluf oholivamah alluf elah alluf pinon
Oholibamah, Elah, Pinon,
אַלּ֥וּף קְנַ֛ז אַלּ֥וּף תֵּימָ֖ן אַלּ֥וּף מִבְצָֽר׃
alluf qenaz alluf teman alluf mivtsar
Kenaz, Teman, Mibzar,
אַלּ֥וּף מַגְדִּיאֵ֖ל אַלּ֣וּף עִירָ֑ם אֵ֖לֶּה אַלּוּפֵ֥י אֱדֽוֹם׃ {פ}
