Leviticus 15

vayedabber Adonai el-mosheh ve'el-aharon lemor

GOD spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying:

dabberu el-bene yisra'el va'amartem alehem ish ish ki yihyeh zav mibbesaro zovo tame hu

Speak to the Israelite people and say to them: When any man at all has a discharge issuing from his member, he is impure.

vezot tihyeh tumato bezovo rar besaro et-zovo o-hekhtim besaro mizzovo tumato hiv

The impurity from his discharge shall mean the following—whether his member runs with the discharge or is stopped up so that there is no discharge, his impurity means this:

kol-hammishkav asher yishkav alayw hazzav yitma vekhol-hakkeli asher-yeshev alayw yitma

Any bedding on which the one with the discharge lies shall be impure, and every object on which he sits shall be impure.

ve'ish asher yigga bemishkavo yekhabbes begadayw verakhats bammayim vetame ad-ha'arev

Anyone who touches his bedding shall wash their clothes, bathe in water, and remain impure until evening.

vehayyoshev al-hakkeli asher-yeshev alayw hazzav yekhabbes begadayw verakhats bammayim vetame ad-ha'arev

Whoever sits on an object on which the one with the discharge has sat shall wash their clothes, bathe in water, and remain impure until evening.

vehannogea bivsar hazzav yekhabbes begadayw verakhats bammayim vetame ad-ha'arev

Whoever touches the body of the one with the discharge shall wash their clothes, bathe in water, and remain impure until evening.

vekhi-yaroq hazzav battahor vekhibbes begadayw verakhats bammayim vetame ad-ha'arev

If the one with a discharge spits on someone who is pure, the latter shall wash their clothes, bathe in water, and remain impure until evening.

vekhol-hammerkav asher yirkav alayw hazzav yitma

Any means for riding that the one with a discharge has mounted shall be impure;

vekhol-hannogea bekhol asher yihyeh takhtayw yitma ad-ha'arev vehannose otam yekhabbes begadayw verakhats bammayim vetame ad-ha'arev

whoever touches anything that was under him shall be impure until evening; and whoever carries such things shall wash their clothes, bathe in water, and remain impure until evening.

vekhol asher yigga-bo hazzav veyadayw lo-shataf bammayim vekhibbes begadayw verakhats bammayim vetame ad-ha'arev

Whomever the one with a discharge touches, without having rinsed his hands in water, shall wash their clothes, bathe in water, and remain impure until evening.

ukheli-kheres asher-yigga-bo hazzav yishaver vekhol-keli-ets yishatef bammayim

An earthen vessel that the one with a discharge touches shall be broken; and any wooden implement shall be rinsed with water.

vekhi-yithar hazzav mizzovo vesafar lo shivat yamim letohorato vekhibbes begadayw verakhats besaro bemayim khayyim vetaher

When the one with a discharge becomes purified of his discharge, he shall count off seven days for his purification, wash those clothes, and bathe in fresh water; then he shall be pure.

uvayyom hashemini yiqqakh-lo shete torim o shene bene yonah uva lifne Adonai el-petakh ohel mo'ed unetanam el-hakkohen

On the eighth day he shall take two turtledoves or two pigeons and come before GOD at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting and give them to the priest.

ve'asah otam hakkohen ekhad khattat veha'ekhad olah vekhipper alayw hakkohen lifne Adonai mizzovo

The priest shall offer them, the one as a purgation offering and the other as a burnt offering. Thus the priest shall make expiation on his behalf, for his discharge, before GOD.

ve'ish ki-tetse mimmennu shikhvat-zara verakhats bammayim et-kol-besaro vetame ad-ha'arev

When a man has an emission of semen, he shall bathe his whole body in water and remain impure until evening.

vekhol-beged vekhol-or asher-yihyeh alayw shikhvat-zara vekhubbas bammayim vetame ad-ha'arev

All cloth or leather on which semen falls shall be washed in water and remain impure until evening.

ve'isha asher yishkav ish otah shikhvat-zara verakhatsu vammayim vetame'u ad-ha'arev

And involving a woman: when a man has carnal relations with her, both shall bathe in water and remain impure until evening.

ve'isha ki-tihyeh zavah dam yihyeh zovah bivsarah shivat yamim tihyeh veniddatah vekhol-hannogea bah yitma ad-ha'arev

When a woman has a discharge, her discharge being blood from her body, she shall remain in her menstrual separation seven days; whoever touches her shall be impure until evening.

vekhol asher tishkav alayw beniddatah yitma vekhol asher-teshev alayw yitma

Anything that she lies on during her menstrual separation shall be impure; and anything that she sits on shall be impure.

vekhol-hannogea bemishkavah yekhabbes begadayw verakhats bammayim vetame ad-ha'arev

Anyone who touches her bedding shall wash their clothes, bathe in water, and remain impure until evening;

vekhol-hannogea bekhol-keli asher-teshev alayw yekhabbes begadayw verakhats bammayim vetame ad-ha'arev

and anyone who touches any object on which she has sat shall wash their clothes, bathe in water, and remain impure until evening.

ve'im al-hammishkav hu o al-hakkeli asher-hiv yoshevet-alayw benogo-vo yitma ad-ha'arev

Be it the bedding or be it the object on which she has sat, on touching it one shall be impure until evening.

ve'im shakhov yishkav ish otah utehi niddatah alayw vetame shivat yamim vekhol-hammishkav asher-yishkav alayw yitma

And if a man lies with her, her menstrual separation applies to him; he shall be impure seven days, and any bedding on which he lies shall become impure.

ve'isha ki-yazuv zov damah yamim rabbim belo et-niddatah o khi-tazuv al-niddatah kol-yeme zov tumatah kime niddatah tihyeh teme'ah hiv

When a woman has had a discharge of blood for many days, not at the time of her menstrual separation, or when she has a discharge beyond her period of menstrual separation, she shall be impure, as though at the time of her menstrual separation, as long as her discharge lasts.

kol-hammishkav asher-tishkav alayw kol-yeme zovah kemishkav niddatah yihyeh-llah vekhol-hakkeli asher teshev alayw tame yihyeh ketumat niddatah

Any bedding on which she lies while her discharge lasts shall be for her like bedding during her menstrual separation; and any object on which she sits shall become impure, as it does during her menstrual separation:

vekhol-hannogea bam yitma vekhibbes begadayw verakhats bammayim vetame ad-ha'arev

whoever touches them shall be impure—and shall wash their clothes, bathe in water, and remain impure until evening.

ve'im-taharah mizzovah vesaferah lah shivat yamim ve'akhar tithar

When she becomes purified of her discharge, she shall count off seven days, and after that she shall be pure.

uvayyom hashemini tiqqakh-lah shete torim o shene bene yonah vehevi'ah otam el-hakkohen el-petakh ohel mo'ed

vehizzartem et-bene-yisra'el mittumatam velo yamutu betumatam betamme'am et-mishkani asher betokham

You shall put the Israelites on guard against their impurity, lest they die through their impurity by defiling My Tabernacle that is among them.

zot torat hazzav va'asher tetse mimmennu shikhvat-zera letomah-vah

Such is the ritual concerning one who has a discharge: concerning him who has an emission of semen and becomes impure thereby;

vehaddavah beniddatah vehazzav et-zovo lazzakhar velanneqevah ule'ish asher yishkav im-teme'ah

and concerning her whose condition is that of menstrual separation; and concerning anyone, male or female, who has a discharge; and concerning a man who lies with an impure woman.
