לְדָוִ֗ד מִ֫זְמ֥וֹר נְאֻ֤ם יְהֹוָ֨ה ׀ לַֽאדֹנִ֗י שֵׁ֥ב לִֽימִינִ֑י עַד־אָשִׁ֥ית אֹ֝יְבֶ֗יךָ הֲדֹ֣ם לְרַגְלֶֽיךָ׃
ledavid mizmor ne'um Adonai ladoni shev limini ad-ashit oyevekha hadom leraglekha
Of David. A psalm. GOD said to my lord, “Sit at My right hand while I make your enemies your footstool.”
מַטֵּֽה־עֻזְּךָ֗ יִשְׁלַ֣ח יְ֭הֹוָה מִצִּיּ֑וֹן רְ֝דֵ֗ה בְּקֶ֣רֶב אֹיְבֶֽיךָ׃
matteh-uzzekha yishlakh Adonai mitsiyyon redeh beqerev oyevekha
GOD will stretch forth from Zion your mighty scepter; hold sway over your enemies!
עַמְּךָ֣ נְדָבֹת֮ בְּי֢וֹם חֵ֫ילֶ֥ךָ בְּֽהַדְרֵי־קֹ֭דֶשׁ מֵרֶ֣חֶם מִשְׁחָ֑ר לְ֝ךָ֗ טַ֣ל יַלְדֻתֶֽיךָ׃
ammekha nedavot beyom khelekha behadre-qodesh merekhem mishkhar lekha tal yaldutekha
Your people come forward willingly on your day of battle. In majestic holiness, from the womb, from the dawn, yours was the dew of youth.
נִשְׁבַּ֤ע יְהֹוָ֨ה ׀ וְלֹ֥א יִנָּחֵ֗ם אַתָּֽה־כֹהֵ֥ן לְעוֹלָ֑ם עַל־דִּ֝בְרָתִ֗י מַלְכִּי־צֶֽדֶק׃
nishba Adonai velo yinnakhem attah-khohen le'olam al-divrati malki-tsedeq
GOD has sworn and will not relent, “You are a priest forever, a rightful king by My decree.”
אֲדֹנָ֥י עַל־יְמִֽינְךָ֑ מָחַ֖ץ בְּיוֹם־אַפּ֣וֹ מְלָכִֽים׃
adonay al-yeminekha makhats beyom-appo melakhim
My Sovereign is at your right hand— crushing kings in the day of divine anger.
יָדִ֣ין בַּ֭גּוֹיִם מָלֵ֣א גְוִיּ֑וֹת מָ֥חַץ רֹ֝֗אשׁ עַל־אֶ֥רֶץ רַבָּֽה׃
yadin baggoyim male geviyyot makhats rosh al-erets rabbah
[God] works judgment upon the nations, heaping up bodies, crushing heads far and wide.
מִ֭נַּחַל בַּדֶּ֣רֶךְ יִשְׁתֶּ֑ה עַל־כֵּ֝֗ן יָרִ֥ים רֹֽאשׁ׃ {פ}
minnakhal badderekh yishteh al-ken yarim rosh
My lord drinks from the stream on his way; therefore he holds his head high.
