Psalms 112

halelu-yah ashre-ish yare et-Adonai bemitsvotayw khafets me'od

Hallelujah. א Happy are those who fear GOD, who are ardently devoted to God’s commandments.

gibbor ba'arets yihyeh zaro dor yesharim yevorakh

ג Their descendants will be mighty in the land, ד a blessed generation of the upright.

hon-va'osher beveto vetsidqato omedet la'ad

ה Wealth and riches are in their house, ו and their beneficence lasts forever.

zarakh bakhoshekh or laysharim khannun verakhum vetsaddiq

ז A light shines for the upright in the darkness; gracious, compassionate, and beneficent.

tov-ish khonen umalveh yekhalkel devarayw bemishpat

ח ט All goes well with those who lend generously, יwho conduct affairs with equity.

ki-le'olam lo-yimmot lezekher olam yihyeh tsaddiq

כ They shall never be shaken; לthe beneficent will be remembered forever.

mishemu'ah ra'ah lo yira nakhon libbo batuakh ba-Adonai

מ They are not afraid of evil tidings; נtheir heart is firm, they trust in GOD.

samukh libbo lo yira ad asher-yireh vetsarayw

ס Their heart is resolute, they are unafraid; עin the end they will see the fall of their foes.

pizzar natan la'evyonim tsidqato omedet la'ad qarno tarum bekhavod

פ They give freely to the poor; צtheir beneficence lasts forever; קtheir horn is exalted in honor.

rasha yireh vekha'as shinnayw yakharoq venamas ta'avat resha'im toved

ר The wicked shall see it and be vexed; שthey shall gnash their teeth; their courage shall fail. תThe desire of the wicked shall come to nothing.
