mizmor ledavid havu la-Adonai bene elim havu la-Adonai kavod va'oz

A psalm of David. Ascribe to GOD, O divine beings, ascribe to GOD glory and strength.

havu la-Adonai kevod shemo hishtakhavu la-Adonai behadrat-qodesh

Ascribe to GOD the glory of that name; bow down to GOD, majestic in holiness.

qol Adonai al-hammayim el-hakkavod hirim Adonai al-mayim rabbim

GOD’s voice is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, GOD, over the mighty waters.

The voice of GOD is power; GOD’s voice is majesty;

qol Adonai shover arazim vayeshabber Adonai et-arze hallevanon

GOD’s voice breaks cedars; GOD shatters the cedars of Lebanon—

vayyarqidem kemo-egel levanon vesiryon kemo ven-re'emim

making Lebanon skip like a calf, Sirion, like a young wild ox.

GOD’s voice kindles flames of fire;

qol Adonai yakhil midbar yakhil Adonai midbar qadesh

GOD’s voice convulses the wilderness; GOD convulses the wilderness of Kadesh;

qol Adonai yekholel ayyalot vayyekhesof ye'arot uvehekhalo kullo omer kavod

GOD’s voice causes hinds to calve, and strips forests bare; while in the divine temple all say “Glory!”

Adonai lammabbul yashav vayyeshev Adonai melekh le'olam

GOD sat enthroned at the Flood; GOD sits enthroned, ruler forever.

Adonai oz le'ammo yitten Adonai yevarekh et-ammo vashalom

May strength be granted to GOD’s people; may GOD bless this people with well-being.
