מִזְמ֥וֹר לְדָוִ֑ד בְּ֝בׇרְח֗וֹ מִפְּנֵ֤י ׀ אַבְשָׁל֬וֹם בְּנֽוֹ׃
mizmor ledavid bevorkho mippene avshalom beno
A psalm of David when he fled from his son Absalom.
יְ֭הֹוָה מָה־רַבּ֣וּ צָרָ֑י רַ֝בִּ֗ים קָמִ֥ים עָלָֽי׃
Adonai mah-rabbu tsaray rabbim qamim alay
O ETERNAL One, my foes are so many! Many are those who attack me;
רַבִּים֮ אֹמְרִ֢ים לְנַ֫פְשִׁ֥י אֵ֤ין יְֽשׁוּעָ֓תָה לּ֬וֹ בֵאלֹהִ֬ים סֶֽלָה׃
rabbim omerim lenafshi en yeshu'atah lo velohim selah
many say of me, “There is no deliverance for him through God.” Selah.
וְאַתָּ֣ה יְ֭הֹוָה מָגֵ֣ן בַּעֲדִ֑י כְּ֝בוֹדִ֗י וּמֵרִ֥ים רֹאשִֽׁי׃
ve'attah Adonai magen ba'adi kevodi umerim roshi
But You, O ETERNAL One, are a shield about me, my glory, who holds my head high.
ק֭וֹלִי אֶל־יְהֹוָ֣ה אֶקְרָ֑א וַיַּעֲנֵ֨נִי מֵהַ֖ר קׇדְשׁ֣וֹ סֶֽלָה׃
qoli el-Adonai eqra vayya'aneni mehar qodsho selah
I cry aloud to GOD, who answers me from the holy mountain. Selah.
אֲנִ֥י שָׁכַ֗בְתִּי וָאִ֫ישָׁ֥נָה הֱקִיצ֑וֹתִי כִּ֖י יְהֹוָ֣ה יִסְמְכֵֽנִי׃
ani shakhavti va'ishanah heqitsoti ki Adonai yismekheni
I lie down and sleep and wake again, for GOD sustains me.
לֹֽא־אִ֭ירָא מֵרִבְב֥וֹת עָ֑ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר סָ֝בִ֗יב שָׁ֣תוּ עָלָֽי׃
lo-ira merivvot am asher saviv shatu alay
I have no fear of the myriad forces arrayed against me on every side.
ק֘וּמָ֤ה יְהֹוָ֨ה ׀ הוֹשִׁ֘יעֵ֤נִי אֱלֹהַ֗י כִּֽי־הִכִּ֣יתָ אֶת־כׇּל־אֹיְבַ֣י לֶ֑חִי שִׁנֵּ֖י רְשָׁעִ֣ים שִׁבַּֽרְתָּ׃
qumah Adonai hoshi'eni elohay ki-hikkita et-kol-oyevay lekhi shinne resha'im shibbarta
Rise, O ETERNAL One! Deliver me, O my God! For You slap all my enemies in the face; You break the teeth of the wicked.
לַֽיהֹוָ֥ה הַיְשׁוּעָ֑ה עַֽל־עַמְּךָ֖ בִרְכָתֶ֣ךָ סֶּֽלָה׃ {פ}
la-Adonai hayeshu'ah al-ammekha virkhatekha selah
Deliverance is GOD’s; Your blessing be upon Your people! Selah.
