mah-yyedidot mishkenotekha Adonai tseva'ot

How lovely is Your dwelling-place, O GOD of Hosts.

nikhsefah vegam-kaletah nafshi lekhatsrot Adonai libbi uvesari yerannenu el el-khay

I long, I yearn for the courts of the ETERNAL One; my body and soul shout for joy to the living God.

gam-tsippor matse'ah vayit uderor qen lah asher-shatah efrokheha et-mizbekhotekha Adonai tseva'ot malki velohay

Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself in which to set her young, near Your altar, O GOD of Hosts, my monarch and my God.

ashre yosheve vetekha od yehalelukha selah

Happy are those who dwell in Your house; they forever praise You. Selah.

ashre adam oz-lo vakh mesillot bilvavam

Happy are those who find refuge in You, whose mind is on the [pilgrim] highways.

overe be'emeq habbakha mayan yeshituhu gam-berakhot yateh moreh

They pass through the Valley of Baca, regarding it as a place of springs, as if the early rain had covered it with blessing.

yelekhu mekhayil el-khayil yera'eh el-elohim betsiyyon

They go from rampart to rampart, appearing before God in Zion.

Adonai elohim tseva'ot shimah tefillati ha'azinah elohe ya'aqov selah

O ETERNAL God of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.

maginnenu re'eh elohim vehabbet pene meshikhekha

O God, behold our shield, look upon the face of Your anointed.

ki tov-yom bakhatserekha me'alef bakharti histofef bevet elohay middur be'ohole-resha

Better one day in Your courts than a thousand [anywhere else]; I would rather stand at the threshold of God’s house than dwell in the tents of the wicked.

ki shemesh umagen Adonai elohim khen vekhavod yitten Adonai lo yimna-tov laholekhim betamim

For the ETERNAL God is sun and shield; GOD bestows grace and glory, and does not withhold bounty from those who live without blame.

Adonai tseva'ot ashre adam boteakh bakh

O GOD of Hosts, happy is the one who trusts in You.
