סֻכָּהsukkah meaning in Biblical Hebrew
a hut, a makeshift shelter of branches · noun, feminine
Also spelled in English: sukka, succah

Tomorrow half of Jerusalem will be eating dinner inside what is, legally speaking, a pile of branches with a roof you can see stars through. The Torah chose that word on purpose.
בַּסֻּכֹּת תֵּשְׁבוּ שִׁבְעַת יָמִים כָּל־הָאֶזְרָח בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל יֵשְׁבוּ בַּסֻּכֹּת
“You shall dwell in sukkot seven days; every native-born Israelite shall dwell in sukkot" — Leviticus 23:42”
Who built the sukkah in your family, and did it fall down even once?
